Barrier Polymers

Photolithographic Materials

Welcome to the Maric group in the Dept. of Chemical Engineering at McGill University. We broadly conduct research in polymers, spanning from polymer synthesis by controlled radical polymerization (mostly nitroxide mediated polymerization (NMP)), to polymer processing (blends, composites, rheology, plasticizers). Current projects that involve controlled radical polymerization include stimuli-responsive materials in aqueous media (often block copolymers that are pH or thermally responsive that are combined with electron-donating/accepting functionality), coatings for high performance varnishes and anti-bacterial surfaces and homo, block and gradient copolymers for microelectronic materials (via photolithography with masks and directed self-assembly). Other projects include photo-initiated thermoset materials and the development of green plasticizers for resins.
